Offering in-person and telehealth sessions, we are a Toowoomba-based psychological service dedicated to helping you discover more about yourself and to work towards your goals.

We create an individualised approach, using techniques from CBT, IPT, and Reality Therapy.

We’re experienced in helping individuals with anxiety, depression, relationship and interpersonal challenges, with additional experience in trauma and addiction, and physical rehabilitation.

Assessment Clinic:

Specialist Assessment and Reports for Cognitive and Behavioural Conditions.

Our clinic specialises in Geriatric Cognitive and Memory Assessments (GCMA), ADHD testing as well as Learning Disorders and Conditions for both adults and children (6+ years).

These comprehensive tests provide clarity around conditions, and strengths and weaknesses across a range of cognitive and memory functions to help individuals make informed changes to reach their goals and assist in daily tasks.

Meet your clinician, James Ryatt

James is a Registered Psychologist (Clinical Registrar) with a heart for helping individuals navigate life’s unique challenges and explore their identity so they can experience greater joy.

Outside of Joy Psychology, James works part-time at the Toowoomba Base Hospital, conducting mainly clinical assessments.

We’re located inside Emerald Kove, 86-88 Water Street South, Toowoomba. The friendly Emerald Kove staff will let you into the building before your appointment.

  • Convenient parking on premises or nearby council parking

  • Ground floor accessibility

  • Thursdays & Fridays: 9:00am - 2:30pm, 4:00pm-6:30pm

  • Saturdays: 8am-11am
